40 Series

The first 40 series machine was completed in February 2009. This range is a further development from the already proven 36 Series and has been developed for clearing re-growth, development work or very deep tillage applications.

These machines can be fitted with 36",40" or 42" discs and are capable of penetrating up to 15" deep (380mm), which makes them ideal for reaching well below the root system of many types of tree suckers.

These machines feature an extremely large bearing system, which has Timken tapered roller bearings and Goetze Duo-Cone seals running in an oil-bath for many hours of maintenance free service.

The gang angle and overall design of the machine has been optimised to require the minimum amount of horsepower to perform the job at hand, whilst also self sharpening the discs and achieving the required depth and tilth of the soil.

Features of these machines include:

  1. 300x200x16mm RHS frame with 25mm plate
  2. 90mm 4140 Round Stationary Gang axle
  3. 36”,40” or 42" Discs 12mm front & rear
  4. Optional 20"x8mm backing discs on each disc
  5. Discs are manufactured in Europe from Boron Steel and hardened to 48-52 HRC for maximum wear and toughness
  6. Bearing Housings are machined from billet steel to close tolerances on CNC machinery
  7. Oil-bath 32024 (180mm O.D) bearings with Goetze Duo-Cone seals
  8. Available in standard sizes from 13.18’ to 22.58’ (4.02m to 6.88m)
  9. Average weight 3,940kg/ metre of cut (2,640 Lbs/foot of cut), 545kg(1200Lbs) / disc
