32 Series Contractor

The first 32 series Contractor machine was produced in June 2003. This range was developed for mid range re-growth control, and features a far stronger frame to the standard 32 series machine.

Most of these machines are operated behind tracked machines such as Caterpillar Bulldozer’s or Challenger machines due to the problem with staking tyres when performing this type of work.

These machines can penetrate into harder conditions and reach enough depth to remove the root system of many types of tree suckers. Although made to be more aggressive they still leave a level finish which can be used as a seedbed.

The gang angle and overall design of the machine has been optimised to require the minimum amount of horsepower to perform the job at hand, whilst also self sharpening the discs and achieving the required depth and tilth of the soil.

Features of these machines include:

  1. 250x150x16 RHS Mainframe
  2. 250x150x12.5 RHS Gangframe (28-48, 64-72)
  3. 250x150x16 RHS Gangframe (52-56)
  4. 2” Square Stationary Gang axle
  5. Quick-change bearing system (allows bearing replacement without disassembly of disc unit)
  6. 32” Discs, 12mm front & 10mm rear
  7. Discs are manufactured from Boron Steel and hardened to 48-52 HRC for maximum wear and toughness
  8. Bearing Housings machined to close tolerances on CNC machinery from billet steel
  9. Bearings can be sealed or re-greasable, these are protected against foreign objects and feature additional seals
  10. Available in standard sizes from 11.65’ to 33.22’ (4.06m to 10.12m)
  11. Average weight 2,210kg/ metre of cut (1,480 Lbs/foot of cut), 280kg(616lbs) / disc
